moreI have always wanted to skydive and while visiting Mission Beach I saw a group land on the beach. I could only imagine the view they must of had of the tropical islands and Great Barrier Reef, and decided if I was to ever do this, it could only be here.
On one visit I was in the car with my parents when they suddenly pulled up outside a resort and told me to get out. Hurt and slightly confused I stood on the side of the road while my dad wound down the window and said "Head over there - Good luck". He pointed to a large building and drove off. I looked up at the resort and saw a large sign that read "Bali Hai Skydive Resort". Now slightly intrigued but more confused I walked across the road and into the resort to be greeted with a friendly wave from the Resort Staff who were expecting me.
Within 60 minutes, my confusion abated but my adrenaline rushing, I was talking off in a plane, fully strapped and willing to trust a man to throw me out of a perfectly good plane at 14,000 ft.
The experience will be with me for a lifetime. I won't spoil the rush by trying to describe that feeling but trust me, its worth it. And you really can't pick a better spot than Mission Beach.
I recommend to pay the extra for a dedicated video. It may be a bit pricey, but I assure you its money well spent. Something as unique as this has to be documented and nothing is funnier than showing others your 'brave' face as you step out. Here's mine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0PWKhRxlxE
